Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!

We're a friendly and sociable group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every Wednesday evening to get active and do a physical task to help community organisations and charities in our area.

There's always the option to do a group run before the task running, and no matter what your speed, at GoodGym no-one is left behind.

Prefer to make your own way? No problem, just meet us at the task - see the details below.

Nervous about coming on your own for the first time? Why not invite a friend to come along with you.

The task

Sidcup & Partners have asked us to help paint planters along Station Road and Hurst Road so they look in tip-top shape when the Britain in Bloom judges visit a few days later.

All painting equipment will be provided.

We have already helped clear a large overgrown area at Sidcup station which is now transformed with colourful planting, and weeded two large planters to make them look much tidier. Come along and join us for this task in a final push to get everything ready for the judging.

📍Where and when

If you are going directly to the task, meet at 7pm outside Sidcup Station, DA14 4DU, What3Words: chair.tennis.crown. Look out for Sue or Colin from Sidcup & Partners.

For the optional group led by Sarah, meet at 6.35pm outside the reception at Sidcup Leisure Centre, Hurst Road, Sidcup DA15 9AE, What3Words: wished.sprint.enable. We'll do a lap of the nearby Lamorbey Park then head to the task. It's about 2.5k there.

Afterwards it's just 500m back to the Leisure Centre.

Options are available to run between 2km and 3km in total

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
