Friends of FairfieldWe’re excited to announce the first official community activity for the Friends of Fairfield group. Whether you’d like to help tidy up Fairfield, share ideas for tackling litter, or simply enjoy some nibbles and meet fellow supporters, they’d love to see you there.
👀 What to expect:
No pressure to arrive right at 2:00 PM or stay for the whole hour. They’ll finish the litter pick at 3:00 PM followed by nibbles. And if litter picking isn’t your thing, please still come along, say hello and meet the team.
🌱 Why are they doing this?
Our March community survey highlighted litter and the appearance of the park as priorities for the community. By working together to keep Fairfield clean and cared for, they hope to create a positive cycle where people feel proud of the space and are encouraged to help look after it.
🎒 Good to know
🧤 Bring: Your own gloves or litter picker if you have them
🌦️ Wear: Weather appropriate clothes and comfy footwear
👨👩👧👦 Families: Under-18s are welcome - just bring a responsible adult along
⚠️ Weather: Bad weather may mean cancellation - keep an eye out for updates
