Tonight was our long awaited Easter-ish (we like to be ahead of the curve) social. The eggcitement had been building and with a spring in their step, 12 GoodGymers headed off to Laser Quest. All that running was put to good use as they ducked and dived, with sleek stealthy moves being need to avoid being shot by Richard, who by all accounts (GG WhatsApp) was lethal in round one. I'm pleased to report that all GGers survived and emerged, from the darkness of the 1990s time warp, smiling into the sunshine.

Some then said their goodbyes, and the remaining hungry questers headed off for food, where they were met by more GGers. What better choice than an all you can buffet after all that exertion - we travelled the culinary world from fish fingers and chips to curries, stir fries, and giant chicken balls...the less said the better? And what evening is complete without a chocolate fountain - now that is an all you can eat challenge that we were happy to take on!

The evening flew by with lots of chatter and laughter. Most Swindon GG runs are filled with the talk of food - with food in front of us, the air was filled with tales of running, triathlons, and plans for spending our lottery wins (if they ever happen). It was great seeing everyone in civvies - we scrub up well! ♥️

And then it was time to say goodnight (not least because the restaurant was closing around us) ready for busy Sunday plans, including Jason's duathlon and Emily's cake eating (I mean, long run - of course I mean long run) session, which was being eagerly anticipated! Plans for the next social are already being discussed...more Laser Quest? Escape Room? All ideas welcome!
