Clearing, tidying, digging at The Emmanuel Church garden
The garden at the church is lovingly maintained, but requires many hands to keep it in top condition!

Date and time
19:00 - 20:15It's a welcome first visit in 2026 to see Sybil and the team at The Emmanuel Parish Church (Romford Road). She's looking forward to seeing us all (as always!), and has asked that we focus our efforts on helping her tidy up the church gardens and prepare it for the summer months for this visit.
Inevitably there will be digging, clearing, raking, bagging, watering, possibly a bit of planting, but overall it'll be a case of getting our hands dirty and waking up the garden from its winter hibernation and readying it for summer.
Please bring gardening gloves if you have them - other tools will be provided, and there might be post task refreshments too...
There'll be a run option (c1m/1.6km) from Freaks and Geeks (West Ham Lane), and a bag drop - we'll meet there at 6.45pm and return there after the task - alternatively you can meet us directly at the task, where Sybil will undoubtedly give you a warm welcome.
How are you getting there?
