Nine @GGSHEFF runners ran 4km to the Abbeydale Picture House to help CADS with the restorations of one of Sheffield's most beautiful buildings!

After beginning the OFFICIAL @GGSHEFF Spotify playlist (other music apps are available) we set off toward our task, running past some iconic Sheffield structures such as the Abbeydale Mosque.

On arrival we were met with squash, cookies and chocolate fingers (personal fave) to fuel us for the tasks ahead. Tasks this time around (big project that we will continue to help with) included lifting and shifting of tables and chairs to make room for future work to be done and painting a freshly plastered ceiling and a not so fresh green tiled bathroom!

The team exceeded the task owners expectations, smashing through the bathroom in no time, mueling the tables and chairs up multiple flights of stairs and completing painting the newly plastered ceiling - very satisfying!

The @GGSHEFF team is now really starting to bond and become a real unit through working together for common local causes, collaborating on shared playlists and partaking in silly walks and Rocky impersonation, great to see!

As you can see from the photos everyone looked FANTASTIC in their boiler suits and awards have to go to DAVID & DENISE for the best Breaking Bad impersonations.

Special shout out also to Kat for becoming COACH & MISSION verified! We look forward to hearing your experiences and joining you on a mission soon! Also great to hear that Ash is looking to join Kat on some Missions in the future too!

Once again we learnt some interesting facts about our runners this week including a shocking discovery that KIM has never seen any Rocky films! This is your homework Kim.

We also learnt that Harry Potter Hattie has got her placement of choice in Bristol! Congrats Hattie, we'll be really sorry to see you go when the time comes, but i'm sure goodgym Bristol will welcome you with open arms!

After stripping our boiler suits off and downing our rollers we took a look at running form and technique by playing penguins and pigeons which also evidently makes you walk like Danny Dyer in the case of the penguin.

After taking away our tekkers point for this week we did some quick smart High Intensity work with:

*Sprints *Squat 180 *Clock Lunges *Burpees *Relays *High Fives!

After another quick glass of squash and one too many chocolate fingers in my case we set off on an extended loop back to base for stretches and parted ways until next week.

Next week we are off to new task owners Regather so don't delay sign up today and bring a friend for some fantastic red laces!
