In the first of a double-header this week, we headed back to Wild & Fruity Community Allotment yesterday evening to finish painting the fence a lovely shade of Forest Green.
The site was looking stunning in the sunshine - ready for their community open day this weekend.
We'll be heading over to support the Friends of Longsight and Harwood Park tomorrow to shift some soil, we'd love you to join us!

As Wednesday evening's go, that one was up there with the best... Rowan, Mumtaz and Saf headed to Rawlyn Road to support Wild & Fruity Community Allotment, painting their back fence a beautiful shade of Forest Green.
Nothing beats being surrounded by nature, the sound of birdsong, the sun on your back, good company and the ability to step back after 60 minutes of effort to see the transformation you have just played a part in!
Rowan even put his recent video creation/editing training to good use and created this short instagram reel to capture our efforts.
We'll be heading back to finish the job next Wednesday, why not join us?!

The battle of the balsam continues as we spent 30 minutes clearing another section of this invasive species from alongside a riverbank.
As we get closer to the Balsam flowering and dispersing their seeds, it's really important to remove as much of this damaging species as possible (so if you see some Balsam - please do pull it and snap it!)
This task was supporting Bolton Green Umbrella and the The Big Balsam Bash campaign.

We returned to support Bolton Green Umbrella's Big Balsam Bash this week, and it was an absolute blessing being in the relative cool of the shaded woodland!
Saf and Rowan spent 30 minutes clearing a 6 x 3m area of the invasive Himalayan Balsam - an incredibly satisfying mission which supports the native species of flora and protects the riverbanks.
Stay tuned for details of next week's community mission ๐

As part of Men's Health Week, we headed to Little Lever this week to support Bolton Manbassadors, a local men's health project.
After a 5K run in the baking heat from our meeting place at Bolton One, we set to work with painting the walls in, what will be known as, The Living Room - a space that will be used by Bolton Manbassadors to support men's mental health.
There was a bumper attendance as we welcomed Susan, Geoff and Sarah for their first taste of GoodGym, Saf returned for a second week in a row and Steph, Mark and TaskForce member Mumtaz joined us for more good deeds!
60 minutes of painting x 8 GoodGym'ers = 8 hours of support for a great local project ๐ช
Next week we're bashing some more balsam ๐ฑ, do join us!

It was brilliant to welcome along Conrad and Saf for their first GoodGym missions this week as we supported The Post Newspapers by delivering The Bolton Post.
Many hands truly make light work and we delivered all 200 copies in just under 60 minutes!
Next week we are joining forces withBolton Manbassadors to mark Men's Health Week โ๏ธ
