With all the rain and sunshine we've been having, the community garden was looking extra green and lush... But without the help of GoodGym was soon going to be overrun with some naughty bindweed and ash. So we got to work cutting back along the paths, weeding and hoeing and got the garden looking lovely and neat again! Thanks everyone!

The Scrapstore needed our help, and 17 GoodGymers answered the call! We welcomed Ryan, Ruben and Kieran to their very first Group Run this evening and we hope they enjoyed their warm welcome this evening.
12 runners ran, 3 walkers walked and Frances and Jade appeared, worked hard, then disappeared back in to the night!
We split in to 3 teams, Ryan, Ruben, Richard G, Richard, Helen, Frances and Nell set about rolling up coloured pre-cut materials, and much debate was had about the relative density, likely uses (pirate hats, capes and yoga mats for people who abhor comfort) before filling barrels and barrels full of them!
Valรจ and Jason were the cutting crew. Valรจ proclaiming that one of the sheets reminded her of the smell from baby dolls in Argentina in the 1980's!...unpleasant! The final job was re-attaching handsets to phones. The staff had a little wager on how many we could do, and the team of Phill, Nell, Gareth, Jordan, Freya and Sebastian, surpassed their expectations, reattaching, according to Phil 'a billion!'.
We left the Scrapstore dazzled by multicoloured scrap and hope to be back soon, but also with the promise of indoor winter tasks!

Glorious sunshine greeted the five of us as we arrived at the Community Garden to help set up for the spring fair. The first job was to put up bunting. After much rumination, deliberation and other -ations we adorned the garden with colour. Wow!
But how will people find the place! No worries, we have signs. Jordan and Frances scoured the streets to find the perfect spot to put up signs pointing to the fair. While that was being done Jade and Jason watered the garden while I swept the floor in a hut for the quiet space.
Next was the signs. This is where the artistic talent really came out. Which way to the water? Why this way my dear friend! You want pizza or your face painted weโve also got you covered too.
After two hours we were done and the fair opened. A short mooch around and we were on our way. Great job everyone.
Until next timeโฆ
