Background to tonight's task
St Margaret's House, an arts and wellbeing charity in Bethnal Green, are in need of some help to clear a variety of construction debris and old furniture into a skip.
They have recently had to take down a wall at the rear of the settlement, and this has resulted in a large quantity of bricks and other rubbish accumulating on site.
The rubbish will need to be moved in wheelbarrows from the settlement into the skip situated in the school playground next to SMH - before the start of term...
What you need to know
We will be starting from 6, but it's fine to arrive later. This will run as a drop-in session between 6-8pm.
Bicycles can be stored in the racks around the Settlement where we will be working.
Bags can be stored in the SMH office and we can open up the resource centre for people to use the toilet/get changed.
"Please wear closed-toe shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty, as the task involves moving building rubble and bricks."
How are you getting there?

Lucky enough to be the Area Activator for Tower Hamlets. Personal trainer. Seriously sweet tooth.
Apologies, but tonight's task has been cancelled. (There is now not enough room in the skip to complete the activity that was planned for this evening).
This activity has been rescheduled for 24th Oct: https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/the-big-monday-night-task-moving-bricks-and-furniture-into-a-skip-at-st-margaret-s-house
What a pity. I was planning on coming down. Any Good Gymer can be redirected to Islington, should they fancy a bit of touring. 😁
Thanks Nurjehan! And sorry not to see you this evening, hope to see you soon.
