Distance Letters
17 Team Noel Thatcher GoodGymers from around the country took to the roads to run a few extra km for the team! This time the motivation was to record a run in the shape of a letter. Each member had their own letter to create and once the creations were put together we spelt out....GO TEAM NOEL THATCHER...... You're probably wondering how that turned out....check out our photo montage. Thank you to all the runners who took part! Stay safe and keep running!

Run Bingo

This week we are starting on a Run Bingo challenge. It will probably last for longer than a week unless we have some die hard Bingo exercisers...
The aim is to get as many of the tasks ticked off the Bingo card that you can. Of course there are also points for completing lines and diagonals too.
However, the main aim is to tick off every single box on the card. If you are only able to tick off a couple of things or just a line etc, that is also fine. The main thing is to take part and get yourself outdoors safely for your daily exercise time.
Here’s the link to the card to download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/az5gsa4bukv0sde/IMG_9893.JPG?dl=0
Entries will only be accepted with a selfie holding the ticked Bingo Card....or if you don't have printer you can edit the image on your phone or laptop with a tick and then send that in with a selfie seperate.
Please send your entries via e-mail or text message 07756336603, or if you're on Facebook then add them to the group chat.
Happy hunting!!

Going the Distance
Last week's challenge to the group was to see how many miles/km they could rack up in the week.
Most were completed by walking and running....
....drumroll please.......
In a respectable 4th place is the newly crowned mum HANNAH rocking out 9.15km of walks with her little one!
Taking the bronze medal is DARYL, clocking 32km for the week all on runs.
Silver medal winner was SUE, adding up her runs with 4 dog walks to push her over the line with 46.47km for the week.
Gold medal for the week was MARIANNE who notched up a whopping 89.3km for the week, going for lots of long runs and walking to abd from work each day too!
Great effort everyone!!
A new challenge this week so keep an eye on the website!!

Stockport
S'no real parkrun ... It's a GoodGym parkrun
Yesterday, GoodGym Stockport hosted the second in a series of (not) parkrun training sessions, aiming to keep us fit, active and happy during the current Lockdown measures.
Saturday 16th saw an incredible 83 runners from GoodGyms up and down the country...and even overseas! (shout out to those who were running in GoodGym spirit from Prague and Spain!) pacing their local trails and green spaces to complete the 5km session.
It seems the elements were out in spectacular force with runners embracing the winter wonderland conditions!
All in all, a RUNderful Saturday (not) parkrun!
Next week, Saturday 23rd January, the baton will be passed to GoodGym Colchester to host. You can sign up here: https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/goodgym-not-parkrun-week-3
Once again, a massive thanks to Melanie Young @ GoodGym Bristol (a very savvy computer person ) for creating the results form and who will put the results together for our (not) parkrun events.
