Portsmouth Report written by Jen Stoneham
As some of us missed out on our Hogwarts letters, we weren't able to apparate or head to our task by broomstick this evening, so a gentle jog was in order.
Our task this evening was to empty out the planters and re-home the veggies in some plant pots until a new home for the raised beds can be found.
Our team of budding Herbology students could have done with some help from Madame Sprout, as identifying what was weed and what was vegetable was a bit of a challenge. Hence the confusion between Hogs Weed and Hogwarts, inspiring the run report this evening.
Richard, under the careful supervision of Mini-GGer Alice appeared to have cast a Geminio charm, uncovering an ever-multiplying harvest of potatoes!
Katie and Sammy were on strawberry duty and were able to salvage most of the plants. I would guess the Sorting Hat would put these guys in Ravenclaw, they had to use a lot of smarts to ensure they were saving the right plants! Sammy also discovered Professor Moody's missing eye and one of Aragog's babies in the soil!
Laura and Dave were on litter picking duties, and were able to use the new extendable litter pickers to Accio litter! with a summoning spell.
Hagrid would have been mighty pleased with our groundskeeping skills this evening, well done everyone!

Another busy foodbank sessions with 25 parcels handed out. The wildlife of All Saints have been adding extra challenges this week but we overcame. It was great to see New Goodgymer Laura completing her first mission and getting stuck into the packing!

Tonight's task had Everything I Wanted - a fruitful litter pick and a bit of exercise in a way only GoodGym can do it!
Visiting one of the local underpasses, an early find from Dave was a carrier bag full of bangles - hence a report dedicated to 80s Pop Princesses, The Bangles.
Judy discovered an Eternal (Flame) stream of cans amongst the bushes, and the rest of us had to Walk Like An Egyptian to avoid being bopped on the head by them as they were launched, missile style, to be crushed for recycling.
Katie vowed "I'll Set You Free" to an impressive array of scarves - it was like watching a magician pull handkerchiefs from a hat as she deftly pulled a never ending chain of them from amongst the brambles.
Tracey came Walking Down Your Street with four-legged GoodGymer Ollie, who was very good at sniffing out litter!
Much to the confusion of a local Colas worker, we started a new kind of race - the Vodka Bottle Relay! Jen, Dave and Katie took it in turns to run up the underpass to the bottle bank to deposit our finds. Mr Colas also gave us a couple of extra bags as we found so much litter!
Not so much a Manic Monday but a Winning Wednesday. Most productive and pleasant evening, thanks everyone!
