Jennifer just completed a six month streak of doing missions. That’s so many bags of garden rubbish cleared and jobs done to help someone out and put a smile on their face. Give Jennifer a cheer to encourage them to keep up the good work.

Take your takeaway coffee with you
On a very cold and ice covered Saturday I did a litter pick (mostly Costa Coffee takeaway cups) in Flitwick Moor. Lots of people have discovered this hidden oasis on the edge of the village. It was cold and dark but still beautiful with ice covering everything. Unfortunately explorers aren’t used to SSSIs not having bins in so they seem to loose all arm strength once they get there and are unable to carry their litter home.

Weed for Victory
The village war memorial has been unloved over the last few months so I dug for victory and removed all the weeds so that the monument was back to full glory for all to enjoy whilst taking our daily allowed exercise.

I wish it CARD be Christmas every day
It's been an extremely difficult Xmas for everyone this. No more so than for older people in Care Homes who have been unable to see their families for the last 9 months. It really is heartbreaking.
That's why we wanted to do something for some of the care homes/housing with care we've visited in the past, as we couldn't visit them in person this year to play games or sing carols. Instead, we sent the residents at Redmayne View a Xmas Card, some of which were made by our members.
It was great to see so many GoodGymers get involved with this task, some of who were from other GoodGym areas across the UK.
These tasks have brought a smile to everyone's face, Merry Christmas to all of you.

We CARD get enough of this Christmas spirit
It's been an extremely difficult Xmas for everyone this. No more so than for older people in Care Homes who have been unable to see their families for the last 9 months. It really is heartbreaking.
That's why we wanted to do something for some of the care homes/housing with care we've visited in the past, as we couldn't visit them in person this year to play games or sing carols. Instead, we sent the residents at Springdale a Xmas Card, some of which were made by our members.
It was great to see so many GoodGymers get involved with this task, some of who were from other GoodGym areas across the UK. Emma made a card for Vera, who is 107 year's old!
These tasks have brought a smile to everyone's face, Merry Christmas to all of you.

Send a Xmas Card to a resident @ Springdale Care Home

The residents at Springdale have become very isolated during this pandemic, lets make them smile by sending them a Xmas Card.
There are 23 residents that would like a Xmas Card sent to them so we need 23 people to complete this Community Mission.
You can either email an electronic card to me at steven@goodgym.org or I can meet you outside The Forum between 3.30-4pm on Friday 18th December to collect it. Alternatively you could deliver/post directly to Springdale, please let me know if you do this.
Once you've signed up, I will email you the name of the person you will be making a Xmas Card for, and then provide the address details on the same email.
