8 GoodGymmers spent an hour clearing a huge planter of weeds, nettles, grass and thistles. It is now ready to be taken over by the local school who will hopefully be planting something colourful to brighten up the street. We worked hard and filled loads of bags with garden waste in a short space of time.

Thanks to Emma for joining us for her first Exeter mission after recently moving to the South West from London...we hope to see you again soon. And goodbye to Claudia who is sadly moving back to Barcelona...we will miss you a lot and hope you come back and visit soon!

Six GoodGymers climbed 'Mount Pennsylvania' on Wednesday to help get the new Sylvania Stores ready to open. We think this is a great project: it's a co operative initiative by local residents and will include a shop, cafe and lots of activities.

With paintbrushes in hand we spruced up tired walls and doors to get them looking good for the grand opening this weekend.

Founder and general legend Pete Stevenson provided us with biscuits, fruit, water (it was baking!) and even ice cream. Thank you for going above and beyond for your local community!

Five GoodGymers ambled around Wonford delivering a community newsletter informal local residents about summer activities taking place in their part of Exeter.

Leaflet delivery sounds simple but it's a great way to explore a neighbourhood - you'd never know how hard some doors are to find! Some doors are not what they seem though, as Lucy R found out...
