This evening we got to put not only our decorating skills to the test, but also push our muscles to the limit!
Everyone got stuck in to giving all the tortoise enclosures a lick of paint, before a splinter group helped list a massive tortoise shed on to a platform. Bernice, the task owner, thought she was going to need to hang out a local gyms to find some muscle men to help, but with a bit of logic, physics, and good old fashioned GG willpower, our little team succeeded!
We'll be back next week and hopefully more of the tortoises will be waking up to see us!

It was so lovely to see Catherine for an early morning litter pick (give her a cheer!)
This hidden passageway off Elm Grove is a thing of beauty, with its wall art and displays from the neighbouring school. But it was spoilt by the litter and the fly-tipping.
30 minutes later, with help from a local resident, and it was as clean as it deserves to be. And Portsmouth folk are as friendly as ever, giving thanks and appreciation as they passed by.

60 more cans added to the ChangeX Green Plan challenge sees GG smash another task.
A great mix of foods were donated this evening and helped fill out a number of the containers.

We joined Scott from People & Stories and John from Action Asylum with his team of volunteers for a shore clean this morning.
Most of our finds were rather uninspiring but standard - lolly sticks, vapes, McDonalds ketchup containers amongst a huge amount of microplastic nurdles. Rather appropriately for Armistice Day, Jen and Action Asylum volunteer Adam found a carrier bag containing an Army Brigadier uniform. John and Catherine had some military know-how and were able to work out some details from the buttons.
The sun shining made for a lovely morning out know the shoreline. Thanks to Scott and John for inviting us to join.
