5 GG Yorkies met at Greenfield Community Garden for two surprise tasks.

The compost bin rebuilding that we were expecting to do needed a bit more prep work before it was possible. Zinnie, Debs and Leanne took on the task of emptying the existing compost bins and piling the fresh compost onto the top of a potato patch. A potential new member, Robin hung around for a bit, but decided that Goodgym wasn't for him as his beak wasn't strong enough to lift the spade. (Come to think of it, he was probably more interested in the worms).

Meanwhile, Amy and Paul Kelly -AKA 'Team Turner' moved a strip of green waste about a metre to the left whilst basking in the sunny side of the garden.

Once their strip was suitably aerated, they joined the compost team to shift some part-baked compost into the space that they'd cleared (and freeing up some of the space needed for the elusive compost bin building task).
