January's pickings..let’s not mask the effort.

Week 2 into January and we were raring to go! An old favourite of ours is to do a litter pick at Wexham Park Hospital. But with the hospital going into tighter restrictions on external visitors, I agreed with Task Owner Mike, that we would bring our own litter pickers and bin bags so that we didn't have a need to enter the hospital - We like to be part of the solution and not the pollution!

So we met at The King Wexham and after a brief brief and blood flowing warm up, we set off up the road with our pickers in hand.

It was good to have Joe back in the team, sadly his university course night clashes with our GoodGym night, but tonight he was able to run our course instead..

On arrival, we set off to work as one team in #onedirection. For a change there was so much litter on the hospital grounds tonight. Plenty of masks, beer cans and cigarette packets… even the off lateral flow test! Luckily it was negative

Around 40 minutes later we were done. Two bagfuls collected! And time to head back home.

Thank you Sandy and Joe for the company tonight.

Next week we are meeting at our task location - Salthill vaccine Centre to do a vaccine volunteer shift.
