It was good to be back helping at East End Women's food bank today after missing it for the last three weeks! I joined Eleanor and Michael and as we're all regulars at the task we were able to get straight on with the usual tasks of packing bags and sorting the already packed bags for today's volunteer drivers, ready to be distributed to people in need in Walker. We did find ourselves a couple of extra tasks today. We encountered a leaking milk carton so Eleanor got to work cleaning the crates, trolley and the other food items in the bag. Later we hit a lull, partly as the stocks are unfortunately rather low at the moment so we couldn't pack any more bags - so I resorted to a bit of hoovering! Hopefully the supplies will be replenished soon so we're kept busy when we're back (hopefully!) next week!
