Not quite a GoodGym takeover but 12 GoodGymmers turned out to support our local Parkrun at Blackweir this morning.

Arriving from all corners of Cardiff, we gathered at the meeting point to collect our high-viz and then headed off to our designated areas. Some of us marshalled at the "big tree", some of us at the "crossroads" and some of us were simply "halfway point of the playing fields." We bellowed and clapped the runners of Cardiff around the course, making sure they were sticking to the right and aware of the various hazards (notably the super speedy runners already on the return leg and the bikers who we share the path with). Others had important tasks at the start/finish line - funneling, bar code scanning and packing up.

An amazing 954 runners had made it around the Blackweir course!

Once the tail walkers had gone past, we headed back to the start/end for a well deserved coffee before our next task of bird spotting for the RSPB Bird Watch.

A great start to Cardiff and Vale's SuperSaturday!
