Well what a weekend that was! Thanks to the marvellous Tim, 15 of us took part in our very first team marathon. And this wasn't any old marathon, oh no, this one was under very special circumstances; it all took dedication on our own to run our section of the marathon, and didn't we all do a cracking job! (Especially as it was only meant to be 13 of us, eager GoodGym beavers at it again!)

Rachel was the first to get her 2 miles done on Saturday and got a super pace around Milton Common and along the coastline, followed swiftly by Samantha around Great Salterns , and Ellie got her section done on Saturday afternoon while most of us were DIYing. Next up this morning we had the early risers Angela, Kat and Jo who all headed for Southsea to the common and the beach, with some lovely sunrises to be seen. Katie showed off her very impressive skills of bugging running, whizzing round Old Portsmouth, while I kept as far away from the wind inland as I could doing a circle back to home. Prize for the best Strava art and finding herself a trail run goes to Judy and prize for being the best colour co-ordinated outfit goes to Katie, while John and Vicki look totally un-phased by their 2 miles post run! Lynn found some lovely positive graffiti out on her run, and Maxine finished off the weekends running by (un-intentioanlly) breaking social distancing rules and getting the BadGym badge for the weekend. Man of the hour, the brain and the brawn in this task, was of course Tim, who not only came up with this wonderful idea, but also took on the extra 0.2 miles for the marathon.

It's amazing to see how we can all come together in such testing times, and shows the true spirit of GoodGym; staying together while kept apart.
