Who this task will support

LinkAge Plus Project

LinkAge Plus is an innovative for people aged 50+ living in Tower Hamlets. We work with people isolated and vulnerable adults to improve their well being and increase their social networks and opportunities. We offer one to one support, benefits advice. We deliver a weekly activities on site and off site. These include IT, Exercise, Film club, darts, coffee mornings, trips and more.

As their previous volunteers continue to trickle back to work, LinkAge Plus are struggling to get home cooked, nutritious meals to many local elderly residents.

What’s involved:

• We are looking for up to 7 GoodGymers to meet at the pick up point (Shadwell, E1 0AT) at anytime between 11.30 and 1.30 and each grab 2-3 parcels each (whatever you can manage).

• The parcels will be packed in a bag, with individual delivery addresses. These will be grouped into 2-3 bags with addresses closest to one another.

• The team will have gloves & mask available for you.

On arrival at the Community Mission:

• When you arrive, please let them know you're from GoodGym and here to deliver parcels for Joynul.

• The mission ideally involves carrying 2-3 bags to a destination within the E1 area. You can run, walk or cycle, and do consider bringing a large backpack if you intend on cycling (or be prepared walk part of the journey as a runner!).
