A really enjoyable afternoon spent celebrating the combined event of Jo Cox's The Great Walk Together and Refugee Week with themes of "More in common than divides us" and "We Cannot Walk Alone"

10 people from GoodGym Liverpool and the Humanise Community Club came together to walk 5.06 (according to Stava) miles from Otterspool Prom, down the river side coastal path, to Liverpool's iconic Three Graces at Pier Head.

The Great Get Together suggested discussion topics for us to get our chatter on, themed around home, kindness and welcome, and we definitely found we have more in common, with lots of links and connections amongst us. Liverpool is famously known as a village in a city and it really showed today.

Aleasha Chaunte, Co-Dorector of One September/Humanise Community Club, said
"This was a lovely restart for the Humanise Club after a year of remote activity. Getting together to talk is the reason for our club to exist. Meeting with GoodGym Liverpool was a good way to introduce new people and new perspectives and I am looking forward to collaborating again"

We left today with excited discussions about further combined activities to plan!

A shout out to John for marking it to his 12 month mission streak badge today, meaning he's cleared gardens, moved furniture, changed light bulbs and painted fences in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
