Tesco weren't having the best start to Friday when we arrived as the travellator was broken so customers had to use the lift to get into the store with their trollies. We strategically positioned ourselves next to the lifts for the first half of our slot as we had a captive audience to talk to! I spent a lot of time pressing the lift call button!

Once the engineer had fixed the problem (using my favourite tools, a hammer and a screwdriver) we moved to the bottom of the travellator where the flow of customers was better. Once Leanne from the foodbank had set us up with a banner and some collection buckets we were really in business as it looked a lot less like a stock piling hustle!

Mel stayed on for another slot and Tracey & I passed the baton to Lucy & Duncan and then went to get a few groceries ourselves.

The foodbank are super grateful for our help with covering this opportunity to collect donations. GoodGym to the rescue again!
