Spent a lovely time at Naomi House & Jack’s place today with Samantha and Sarah. We were tasked with sorting children’s, ladies clothing and men’s tops – no trousers needed today! We quickly filled the rails and no sooner were they out on the racks, more and more customers were coming through the door sensing when the new stuff was being being put out. With everything still only £1 per item, things have been flying off the shelves and rails.
Sarah was looking for anything Piratey and found a ‘shrinkable’ pirate kit. No, we didn’t know what they were either, but apparently great for kids to be creative and basically consisted of sheets of magic paper which you colour in, cut around the dotted lines and pop in the oven for a couple of minutes. Et voila! The pirates have shrunk and have become solid toys to play with. It was also story time with Sarah reading us Wonky Donkey – whoever heard of a spunky hanky-panky cranky stinky-dinky lanky honky-tonky winky wonky donkey? We found some huge comfortable pyjama bottoms which cried out for a try-on, along with some beautiful crocheted scarves and we borrowed some bobble hats to go with these very fetching outfits. Simon the Manager was so impressed, he awarded Sarah ‘Best Retail Concept of the Year’ award. Time went super quick and it was time to leave, but not before some purchases were made and we left hoping to get home in between the showers.
