Surplus food delivery - week 3

Residents benefitting from being able to access food from surplus food session

Location
Foxwood Community Centre
Cranfield Place

Date and time
12:30 - 15:00
Wednesday, 2nd of December 2020

So as of today we are living in the tier 2 world.

Taking everything into account the Foxwood surplus project is aware of at least one resident who is self-isolating due to health condition and asked us to help drop some food off for him/her, as he/she is unable to attend the session in person.

The surplus food giveaway project at the Foxwood Community Hub is open to anyone on Wednesday afternoons. The project receives regular deliveries from FareShare and various supermarkets with the aim to fight hunger and prevent food waste.

The task will be to collect a bag, or two of surplus food from the Foxwood Community Centre (Cranfield Pl, York YO24 3HY) at any time between 12:30 and 15:00 on Wednesday 2nd December and drop it off at the resident address. There may be two separate addresses to deliver to, meaning two trips. Both addresses are in the area of Foxwood and Woodthorpe and Kerry will provide you with details on the day.

This food won't cost anything but may be a heavy collection.
