Thistle be just the job for goodgym

Lil ran, Jackie walked and Katherine cycled over to the Spring Board allotment this afternoon for a session of dodging the showers and taming the weeds.

It was all about giving the plot a tidy up today, as all the recent rain and sunny spells have sent the weeds into overdrive. We soon set to work cutting back vicious looking brambles, thistles, nettles and weeds. Katherine tidied up around the planters and Jackie took on the hedge.

We managed to stop for a little tea break, see the progress of Anita’s memorial garden and make future plans for how goodgym can support Springboard next month.

We also had time to spot frogs, taste nasturtium flowers and stems, and admire the tomato crop. As always, a lovely afternoon was had.
