A birthday treat!

2 Goodgymers from WLS helped to support at Stratford-Upon-Avon Parkrun. It was an early start as Nigel and Katherine were supporting with pre-event set-up.

Having not attended this Parkrun before it was a good opportunity to check out the course as we walked the entire route giving bollards their high-vis jackets to help runners avoid them during the run and putting up signs and arrows helping to mark out the course.

Today was Stratford's 6th birthday - so there were a number of awards given to exceptional volunteers and some Duke of Edinburgh volunteers that have helped over the past year.

Given our jobs were over and done with before the start of the event, it meant we could also take part and enjoyed the 3-lap, very flat route which made a nice change compared to the mountain that you have to climb at Leamington Spa Parkrun!

In celebration of the event's birthday there was tea and cake at the finish - what better way to celebrate :-)
