On a mild evening in the heart of a very quiet Birmingham, 4 regular running renegades met up at the Central Foodbank for the regular sorting shift, helping out the two volunteers from the foodbank.

As ever, there was a mountain of food to work through, which shows the fantastic generosity of people even during these difficult times. Upon arrival, Tousif had made a start working through the cereals and fishy donations, John took control of the hot snacks, making a beeline for the instant mash potato and pot noodles, whilst Dave was getting busy sorting the various tins and hot drinks (hence the pun!). There was even an option of sugar on top of the vast amount of UHT milk! Everyone was putting in a great shift showing that the weeks of practice from helping out previously had clearly paid off.

The two hours had once again flown by before we said our good byes and wished everyone well.

Hope to see you all again soon!

Stay safe,

Liam
