This evening 4 of us headed to the North End Foodbank for our 2nd visit of the week. Nick had already been there on Tuesday and Vicki, Sarah and myself headed there for the first time. We met Jo (a great name by the way) and we were soon put to work sorting out the food in the crates and placing these in boxes that were labelled and then placed in their corresponding area on the shelves. Nick was a dab hand at knowing the system and got cracking straight away. Vicki was in charge of sorting the tea and coffee and splitting up the boxes so that the tea was in more manageable sizes. Sarah tackled the tins of meat and fish and Jo sorted out soup, beans and tomatoes. We used up all of the new storage boxes and filled up the shelves and floor in the store room. Before we left we then packed all the crates onto the trolleys ready for them to be moved.

We're back there on Sunday to tackle more of the sorting.
