5 goodgym runners met up at St. Edwards Church, it had been several months since we were last here and a welcome return indeed.

The development work had started as soon as restrictions were lifted, with new paths being laid for better access for all, three large raised beds built, and the back being cleared. Today they wanted the help of goodgym to cut back some of the overgrown plants that were encroaching onto the public path, also to plant up some of the raised beds to create a rainbow of colour.

Martin and Mikey tooled up and went to tidy up the greenery, whilst Marie, Laura and Sophie released their artistic side and began planting.

Forget me not and the Church are creating a space that the community can get involved with, there is more planned for the additional land which is still to be cleared. For now, it was wonderful to get back out and help on a Tuesday and see the changes that have already been achieved. Kathie from Forget me not gave her thanks, and in lieu of biscuits had laid out some lovely pin badges for each of us to wear for our run home.
