5 of us showed up bright and early at Frenford Food Bank and recommenced shelf filling. Almost immediately a packet of pasta (badly stacked last night) slipped off the shelf attacking our Jenny. With the mishap quickly cleared up we began the usual teabag and toilet roll division until Gen (task owner) arrived with a new helper for trainer extraordinaire James to train. We were soon busy filling food package requests. The custard shelf collapsed when someone stood on it to reach a higher shelf. They fessed up to Gen and offered to repair it, she pretended to be cross then admitted it wasn’t the first time that had happened. Pretty soon we had finished packing, helped some of the drivers loading, replenished the shelves once again and had a good tidy up. We rewarded ourselves by sharing some out of date chocs and went on our way.
