Don't beware of the bears - let's help prepare for the bears :) The sculpture trail is back for another year as bears are set to take to the streets of Sheffield in 2021, to raise vital funds for Sheffield's Children's Hospital.
On the 5th and 6th July The Children's Hospital Charity (CHC) are looking for volunteers to help wrap/unwrap and move the bear sculptures for CHC's preview event.
This will be quite a physical day as it will involve lifting and wrapping/unwrapping of the bears working alongside Henry Boot who are CHC's project installers. COVID social distancing safety briefings from the organisers will be provided to all GG sign ups prior to starting work. Please only sign up if you are available as CHC require confirmation of numbers by the 1st of July.
Logistics finalised: All GG volunteers to be at the Burton Road venue. The address is 92 Burton Rd, Neepsend, Sheffield S3 8DA.
Who to ask for when you get to the location? Please ask for either Rachael Thomas or Cheryl Davidson (both Charity Staff members task leaders)
GGrs just need to bring themselves and face mask, with clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and lots of water (especially if a hot day). Expectation to wear masks.
If you are interested in lending a hand please sign up :)
Exact timings are to be confirmed however the intention is to advertise 4 nr. volunteer sign up sessions covering: - 5th July morning session est. 9 - 12 AM slot - 5th July afternoon session est. 1 - 4 PM slot - 6th July morning session 9 - 12 AM - 6th July afternoon session 1 - 4 PM
