Hopes of a fine evening following a rainy day were dashed when we got caught in a series of showers, but that didn't put off Karin and me as we headed to the canal for some litter-picking.

We started by running along the River Rea path to see the fruits of last week's wombling labours before hitting the canal where we'd left it last Monday. Between the two of us we filled one bag of rubbish and one of recyclables, and even managed to miss the neighbourhood geese (maybe they were avoiding the rain?).
