Who this task will support
The Lawns Nursery School
From website: The Lawns Nursery School is maintained by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, offering free education provision of 15 hours per child per week. All of our practitioners are trained teachers or nursery nurses with years of experience in early years education and are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all children and their families.

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

For those of you who have never been on a group run before, this is like a community mission, but with more fitness thrown in and more opportunity to be sociable. Instead of making our own way to the task, we meet beforehand, and travel to or from the task on foot. This is how GoodGym always used to operate before the pandemic, so it is exciting to be able to do this again!

Tell me more...

  1. We meet at the free car park next to Windsor FC for our briefing and a warm up.

  2. We use our legs to get to the task location. Walkers will take a direct route of just over 1km. Runners will take a more scenic and circuitous route of 2-3km. All paces are welcome and both the walking and running groups will have a back marker to ensure no one gets left behind.

  3. We congregate at the Lawns Nursery School and get busy with some painting. Many hands make light work and there is plenty to do, so encourage your friends to sign up too!

  4. Enjoy a short, fun, fitness session. All fitness levels are welcome.

  5. Head back to Windsor FC walking or running to have a little stretch and say our goodbyes. We aim to finish by 8.30pm.

Can't wait to see you there!

Note that despite what it may say elsewhere on the listing, the start location does not have toilets, changing rooms or lockers. Please come ready to go.

As you may be aware, GoodGym have taken the difficult decision to postpone the return of Group Runs to keep everyone safe. The decision takes into account the new Delta variant of Covid-19, the change to the date for the next phase of the Government roadmap, and the fact that in many GoodGym areas, the task locations and the running routes the groups would need to take to get there, are in very busy and densely populated areas.

The good news is that we can carry on with community missions, so we are not cancelling this session completely, just the group run bit. You can still run, walk or cycle to the task (with a buddy or two if you like) or even drive (shhh!) and enjoy a productive and sociable evening of painting. Sign ups will not carry over, so [**please click on this link to go to the new community mission listing and sign up**](https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/more-painting-in-the-playground-at-the-lawns-nursery-school-5e61d750-a880-4b0b-b2a7-021daedc08fb).

Hope to still see you there! xx
