What a mission! Beth and myself both had coach visits then dashed over to meet Rupesh in Camden for a rather large mission.

Mrs F needed 3 rooms of furniture cleared for the council to collect the following day. Items included a single matress, 3 double matresses, 2 double beds, an electric massage chair that seemed to be built like the Terminator, 2 large and solidly constructed wardrobes, 2 leather sofas and an exercise machine.

There was no lift so the mission was to get these items down 3 flights of stairs and piled up outside the gates.

We set about clearing some room and swiftly removed the mattresses and one of the beds. The next challenge was dismantling the larger of the two wardrobes. Rupesh had started taking off the doors and Beth and myself joined in with the remaining ones.

The body of the wardrobe was an entirely different beast and the bolts were not budging. Mrs F's daughter offered us a hammer which Rupesh put to good use smashing the bolts out in what he referred to as his anger management technique. Infact he was having so much fun that he offered Beth and myself the hammer so we could experience the theraputic benefits for ourselves. After all having a smashing time, it took several journeys up and down the stairs to remove all the sections of wardrobe.

Were we all starting to flag a bit and wondered how much more we would be able to do. We assessed what was left and decided that the sofas were too large and heavy for the three of us to manage and that the other bed and wardrobe would take a lot more time to dismantle.

Mrs F was hopeful that we would manage to remove the electric recliner chair. It was heavy and awkward to move but between the 3 of us, Beths toes and a lot of dragging and hefting the chair made it downstairs with the rest.

We went back up to call it a day as we were all pretty tired by then. Mrs F's daughter kindly offered us a drink and then we got ready to leave. Mrs F made one final request for us to take the exercise machine on our way down.

Rupesh and myself gave it a test lift and decided we were good for one last go and took it down, with many grateful thanks and smiles from Mrs F and her daughter.

We really felt we'd had a full workout and although we were unable to remove all the furniture we had made a really good effort, been an awesome team and earnt a well deserved rest!
