The Maidenhead Town Show is organised by the Craft Coop to be a celebration of community and creativity of all sorts. Click here to visit their website and read all about it.
Join us on the morning of the show to help set up gazebos and tables for the competition area, dog show and other attractions, and to hang decorations like bunting. Meet outside the main entrance to the to Nicholson Centre on the High Street, opposite Wilko.
The session is listed for an hour, but there may be the chance to stick around and help for longer. Equally if you need to dash after 40 minutes to get to parkrun then that’s cool too! We would rather see you for a short time than for no time at all. The distance from the task to the parkrun start is just under 2km if you go via York Stream and the Greenway.

Apologies for the short notice, but following the death of Her Majesty the Queen, the organisers of the Town Show have taken the decision to postpone the event until the 22nd of October. Please look out for another listing for then, and in the meantime if you still want to get together, I will be at Maidenhead parkrun. Different people will no doubt have different responses to this sad event, but for me it feels fitting to come together as a community and support each other during times of sadness.
