This morning Duncan, Manuel and Jo headed back to Hilsea Lido to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the area. Sabrina welcomed us and gave us some history about the Lido and explained what specific areas in the grounds were used for, along with where the entrance used to be. We then headed out into the wind (thankfully no rain) and started to clean up all the thorns and branches that were starting to weigh down the fence. Duncan got to grips with the hedge trimmer and tackled the thorns, whilst Manuel and myself cleaned them up and transferred them to the compost heap whilst trying not to have them attached to our clothing. The time soon went by and after clearing up the area and the cut branches and thorns we headed off for the rest of our weekend. We're back there next week and until the 21st Nov so have a look and sign up if you want to come along.
