We were back at the Ouseburn Trust for the first time in a while due to covid. Dave the task owner had been informed of a lot of litter in the car park near the Cycle Hub. So off we went, from the ship container where we meet up and gathered tools, through Ouseburn to the Cycle Hub.

When we got to the Cycle Hub we were surprised how much rubbish there was considering that we did a litter pick there last month and cleared the whole car park. We filled a big bag of rubbish each, mostly with McDonald’s wrappers, cans, pizza boxes and other takeaway containers.

We walked back through Ouseburn carrying the heavy rubbish bags. We saw a swan sitting on the nest. It was really lovely to see the Ouseburn valley coming back to life with people outside the pubs and restaurants.

Well done everyone. An extra well done to Rae on reaching 10 good deeds!
