Gone with the wind!

Having woken up to a whole night of rain I think everyone was fully expecting to get totally soaked today but just as we started the warm up the rain disappeared and the sun made an appearance!

To mine and Rauuls delight Michaela from Goodgym Leicester also appeared and we managed to get a pre-run selfie.

The course was fairly flat so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a PB, however the wind had other ideas! Running into 40MPH winds at an airfield definitely aren't the best conditions to get a PB but somehow Lizzie still managed a sub 2 hour PB. Way to go Lizzie!

We all crossed the line in less than 2 hours and 30mins, stretched off and said our byes. Following which I had a 100 mile drive to Yorkshire! Aargghh poor organisation on my part!
