PLEASE FOLLOW THE LATEST GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES ON SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN COMPLETING THIS WEEK'S TRAINING SESSION!

Back to basics this week for a running workout that is going to challenge you. This can be done outside, on a treadmill, or if like me you are injured you can also do it on a bike. It's all about effort rather than pace and time.

  • Start with an easy warm up of 10 minutes of very easy jogging, then into:

  • 8 minutes of steady effort ( a little harder than your easy pace)

  • 2 minutes walking or very easy jogging

  • 6 minutes a little harder effort

  • 90 seconds walking or very easy jogging

  • 3 minutes all-out effort

  • Let yourself recover then take a very easy ten minute jog to cool down.

Report back on the GoodGym Newcastle Facebook group thread or via email back to me. Sign up here and share your photos and results by Friday.

Enjoy!
