8 Hackney GoodGymers ran 4K to Hollybush Community garden to clear out the shed and 30 bags of garden waste.

A session for the most mentally strong this evening!! With Hackney almost under water after torrential rain and London Fields almost resembling a lake it was one of those sessions that were tough to take that first step then once you had it was great fun jumping puddles, landing in puddles, getting wet feet while cracking jokes and having a laugh as e did it!

Big shout out to Bonny for her first GG run!! Hope it’s the first of many!!

Taking the direct approach tonight we ran straight to Hollybush to meet Margaret in the famed community garden! Cracking straight on lifting and shifting a long line of 30 blag bin bags out for collection in the morning. As well as dragging two 1 tonne bags out.

Keep the pace high as we dodged the ever falling rain like GG ninja’s we cleared out the unwanted ransoms from the shed while sitting out the flower pots ready for the next planting phase.

A sharpe 25 minutes of action and we were done! Just time to shelter in the shed to have a strategic chat about socials for rest of the year before to zipped out to make the dash back to base with a strong task complete!

Thanks so much for your efforts tonight!! See you next week for our visit to Abney Park cemetery!!
