Hike the beautiful Seven Sisters

Join us for a social walk in the South Downs National Park. This is one of the most magnificent and justifiably well known walks in England. We will walk from Seaford Station to Eastbourne along the white chalk cliffs via Cuckmere Haven, Birling gap and Beachy Head.

Distance: 13 miles / 20km with 500m of ascent (lots of ups and downs for each of the "sisters"). I anticipate that the walk will take about 5 hours, plus time for breaks. Please bring plenty of water and a packed lunch. We will find a fish and chip shop in Eastbourne before getting the train home.

Logistics. I've put the location as Bethnal Green so it shows up in our events but we will be meeting in Victoria station (outside WH Smith) at 9.05 before getting the 9.24 train to Seaford (changing at Lewes). Buy a day return from London to Seaford and then in Eastbourne buy an additional single ticket from Eastbourne to Lewes. If you have a Network Card you and three companions get 1/3 off, or if you buy your ticket on a group of 3 or more you can get a group save ticket which also saves 1/3 so it's worth arriving early and buddying up to buy tickets.
