On Wednesday, 10 Goodgym members had a fabulous evening down at the Love Crewe Community Garden. A new project for us and one we were thrilled to be part of.

Our host, Sam explained that garden had become quite overgrown in recent months as the usual volunteers hadn’t been able to get down to there due to coronavirus.

The wild flowers were still visible but only just, so we had to delicately pick the weeds from the flowers, which wasn’t an easy task as some of the weeds were very deep rooted (and there was lots of them!).

We started by focusing our attention on the meadow area. We all got stuck in and started digging our way through the weeds. It was a lovely dry, clear night (of course it was, it was Wednesday!) and the company was, as always, lovely ❤️

We made good headway but there’s a still a lot of work to be done. Some of us came away with a little more than we bargained for (pesky bites!) but one thing we all left with was a great dose of the ‘feel-good’ factor.

Thanks for having us. We’ll definitely be back ❤️
