James and Linda decided to visit the SHP allotment today rather than tomorrow. Owing to the last minute change of date the battery operated strimmer (yes we know we use this at our own risk) had not been charged. We had no idea how much charge it had been given before it left the manufacture (turned out about 10 mins worth) but from what we saw, once fully charged, it’s going to do a great job.

Eddie and Sharon also had last minute changes of plan and decided to join us. Switching to manual tools Eddie continued to clear the path to the water butt and shifted some compost. James and Linda started clearing the grass from near the strawberry plant and think we may have started to uncover another planting bed. Not only that Linda uncovered a beloved tool she had lost at her visit before last. Sharon set about a little light pruning.

Despite being let down by the tech we think we made a bit of a difference in that hour. James cycled home and Sharon walked off in her quest for Street Tags for the GGR Street Tag team.
