Winter Sunshine Workout

Another beautiful day for working at the SHP allotments. First job was to test out the strimmer kindly provided by the GGR Street Taggers (yes we know we use at our own risk) it cleared a path right from the shed, up and down all the beds round two of the pear trees and part way to the redcurrant bush before the battery gave out. It might not sound a lot but for a domestic tool being used on its highest speed it was quite an impressive distance.

We then picked up the cuttings plus a load we had cut back last time, trimmed the brambles around the path to the water butt and around the compost area. Ed revisited his job of securing the hasp on the shed to make it even more secure. He then hoed up a bit of ground to help feed the resident robin and we were on our way.
