Husband and Wife team Linda and Eddie arrived at the SHP allotment during a welcome break from the recent showers. Weeds and brambles love the sunshine and shower combo we have been having lately so there was plenty to do.

Before we began we found a deceased and blue bottle infested rat. Not being experienced in disposal of corpses we were not sure what to do and the sensible thing seemed to be bury it. We did take a photo of the unfortunate being but it was deemed too gruesome for publication.

Only just over a week since we were last there it was surprising to see how overgrown the path to the water butt had become again so that was Ed's next job whilst Linda tried to clear a path between two planted beds, re-homing several slugs and snails along the way.

The hour went quickly, we were just packing up as the next shower hit, good timing 😃
