Five runners ran 4km to help Sustrans keep the National Cycle Network clean and tidy

The excitement built, today was the day we were all going to meet Santa! However, Santa it appears isn't as robust as GoodGym runners and the incoming storm caused a 5.10pm cancellation of our planned task accompanying Santa and his sleigh to raise money for local charities. Never fear, there's always a plan B, even at half an hour's notice!

The hardy surviving souls, several runners were due to meet us at the task tonight, bravely headed off into the night with a litter picker in hand. Across Abbey Park we ran to one of the prime litter hotspots on the National Cycle Network. In short, it was blowing gale, chucking it down with driving rain but we cheerfully went about our work, singing Singing In The Rain in the rain as we wombled around!

Fantastic commitment to the cause tonight folks, we got fit, did good, the only downside was not getting to meet Santa. But we're definitely not on the naughty list!

See you next week for our last run of the year!
