Soundtrack to today's report - here

12 Goodgymmers surveyed the wilds of North London as they tamed the wilderness at the Westbury Banks Nature Reserve

Welcome To The Jungle

Everybody make some noise for Nuala who joined us for her first Goodgym experience and didn't even skip a beat when the yoghurt painting came out (more on that later). A GG natural!

Please, Don't Lick The Yoghurt Off The Rocks

Reader, we have seen a lot during our long stint with Goodgym - perhaps, we have seen too much. So it takes something special for a task to make us raise our eyebrows and last night such a special something happened. We yoghurt-painted some rocks, just next to the wild pond, to encourage moss growth. It was quite a sight, I must tell you. No lactose-intolerant Goodgymmers were harmed in the making of this task.

We also carried out some essential maintenance needed at the Reserve to make it ready for public workshops, which should hopefully start happening soon, once lockdown restrictions allow.

We did some heavy-duty litter pick, some hardcore gardening/weeding clearing out one of the paths, we refilled the pond with rainwater, some Christmas tree chopping to line the Reserve's central walkway with pine branches (a natural weed suppressant, as we learnt at one of our previous visits), and we even found time replenish the bird feeder.

All in all, a lovely task to warm up the soul!

Did we learn anything from this experience? I suppose we learnt why the chicken crossed the road. It had something to with a harrowing story an unnamed Goodgymmer told us involving their lovely old dog but we'll file this one under the 'you had to be there' folder.

Peace!

Thanks E. Stunning colours in the photographs. All so lush. Welcome to GGH Nuala. Brilliant to sort of be back to 'normality'.
