We got through a lot of tasks this morning, including:

  • digging up weeds and sorting them into compost potential or straight in the brown bin
  • cutting back a mock orange tree
  • pulling up self seeding plants
  • clearing brambles
  • sweeping up fallen leaves
  • cutting back the ivy in the front garden

I accepted the challenge of climbing to the garden waste bin to see if we could squeeze in any more cuttings from the mock orange tree.

We ended the mission with 2 garden waste bins full to the brim and a pile of branches for next mission here in 2 weeks time.

Thanks to Sue for the tea break and snacks, we've been spoiled this morning! Hopefully everyone has gone home to make cheese and onion pasties.

Fantastic work everyone and especially Katy who had already been to one mission already this morning - big cheers!
