Goodgym & the Green Cathedral

What a privilege to be in Highgate woods at 7pm yesterday to help the Ranger Cindy with some woodland management. The light green canopy as you entered the wood was spectacular and reminded me of a cathedral. Made even more surreal by a blast of rain, drumming on the thousands of newly grown leaves, followed by a burst of green sunshine. We all gathered to meet Cindy and she kindly gave us a brief tour of the wood before we set to work dismantling a rather enormous structure of branches. ( see Photo of before and after) We not only dismantled it but moved the branches to create a fence to protect and encourage tree growth 50m away. Great effort guys! Thanks for doing good and getting outside. I hope you felt the benefits as much as I did!
