Ms. T invited into her lovely home. Although, she has been living in the UK for more than two decades, she gets by with a little bit of English...yet enough to have a conversation. She is originally from Russia and she said she used to do everything herself as her husband was always sick and just in general (according to her), Russian women are independent.

She had all the tools I needed to fix her curtain rails which had come off. Yet, I thought I could use the existing holes, but unfortunately they were wore away and it would take 12 hours if we used polymer to cover it up. Thus, I had to use a drill (which we aren't suppose to use) to make two new holes near by. Once I did this, I put in two stoppers and screwed in two strong screws. The final job was to put the curtain railing back up and on the screws...which was a bit loose, but the best I could do. She appreciated the effort and gave me two cookies before I left. Thanks Ms. T! All the best!
