in conjunction with Eton Wick Waterways Group we are improving habitats through out the area and collecting base line survey information to contribute to the Parish biodiversity action plan and the Borough action plan. Mapping & Planning activities to improve biodiversity, strengthen ecosystems, make sustainable travel and outside activities safer all with the target of improving Climate Resilience and contributing to 30by30 and Carbon NetZero 2050

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

Please note that there is very limited parking at the start location.

This is one of three sessions that are listed for today in different locations to help Wild Eton & Eton Wick with their hedgerow celebration. This might sound like a festival, and knowing our friends at Wild Eton & Eton Wick it will be a jolly event, but there is some serious work to be done too.

The aim is to conduct "Close The Gap" surveys to collect baseline data on hedgerow health and content including plant species and animal homes. There is also litter picking and hedgerow maintenance to be done, and we might be 'checking the whip' too (we don't really know what that means either, but we're intrigued to learn!). Survey equipment and instructions will be provided on the day.

Please bring with you: - Gardening gloves - Long sleeves and trousers in case we need to get up close and personal with prickly hedges. - Your own refreshments.

How are you getting there?
